For those of you that haven’t found Klout.com yet, they measure your social media activity across 12 sites (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, FourSquare, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress.com, LastFM, and Flickr) and then calculate your Klout Score. Well, a few weeks ago, they changed up the algorithm for how they create your Klout Score. So, I got the idea stuck in my head to tackle a new network each day to measure the effect it has on my Klout Score.
In order to try to get as genuine a measure as possible I am going to:
Try to keep it real…The activity level each day is planed out specifically to try to balance normal, realistic daily activity with enough activity to get a measurable reaction.
I am going to try to do as much from my iPhone/Smart Phone as possible. Both because this will mimic real-life and because it means it can be done without taking away from company resources.
I am also going to keep as true to the daily network as possible. For example, I am not going to tag my Tweets to post on Facebook and I won’t post my activity on Flickr to Twitter so that I can get as true a response to each individual network as possible.
