Chris and I worked on the “Sanctuary” Re-edit today…a much more enjoyable experience than the time pressure of the first edit to be sure! Chris was up editing for literally 24 hours after acting and shooting on set for 12 hours (as in a 36 hour day baby!) Everyone that worked on our film was incredible! Here are all the details:

“Sanctuary” was the “Son’s of Thunder” team entry into the 48-hour Film Festival for Dallas, Texas. USA Film Festival sponsors the contest and there were 36 teams this year. The “Sanctuary” team walked away with the following awards:

Best Film

Best Special Effects

Best Sound Design

Best Director

Because we won “Best Film” we are the only film from the Dallas Competition that will go on to be screened at NAB in Las Vegas in 2011. BUT, you don’t have to wait until then to see the film! You can come to LaGrange on Wednesday night as they are re-screening several of the films. I will also post the re-edit of the film after the screening tomorrow on You+Dallas.com.
