There are many writers and preachers that I enjoy…Some encourage me, some challenge me, some convict me…But only a select few do all the above and more. John Piper is one of those men. Just for comparison sake, other men on that short list would include C.S. Lewis, Jonathan Wesley, and Dr. Mac Brunson.
My first experience with Piper was at One Day 2000 and he has constantly rocked my relationship with Christ ever since. He spoke at our mutual alma matter while I was attending, including my graduation ceremony. I know this man to be a man of truth, a man who correctly handles the word of truth, and whom God will greet into heaven with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
