Here is the really funny thing…I haven’t written in a while on here because..well actually it is because I had been busy for so long that I kept thinking of things I wanted to write about and then would put them to the back of my mind…but because I was so busy, now I have […]
A friend sent this to me…It is an interesting perspective…read it and let me know what you think… The one thing that bothers me about this is that it could infer some sort of works based salvation. Of course, works are a result of our faith (A tree that bears no fruit, etc.) but we […]
Ok, so all I did was change the header image…but it is the thought that counts! Merry Christmas!!
Staci just called to tell me about this shooting at New Life Church…the really wierd thing is that Becky and I were just talking about what an easy target most churches would be for a gunman. Even at Prestonwood, where the security is some of the best I have ever seen, I am sure that […]
I was trying to figure out how to keep certain documents private, especially since this is a company computer. If anything happened to it, i wouldn’t want passwords or sensitive files to get out and this is a pretty easy way to have a “folder/drive” that is updateable. Just click on the “read more” link […]
Robert comes through again! He has turned me onto this video and I was rolling. Thanksgiving was an unusual mixture of turkey, family, sorrow, and enjoyment. The turkey was amazing; the family was crazy (but awesome); the sorrow was because it is most probably the last time we will be in our house as an entire family period, much less the last Thanksgiving; and enjoyment because regardless of the location, […]
I came across this video @ Collide. It is a great example of what we can do with the gifts that God gives us when we apply them to the glorification of the the one we love. Mrs Claus came early this morning! Actually, it is Ms. Nancy Newton but it was a great moment regardless. This is what I love about working with the children’s ministry: we still have that childhood sense of fun!
One of the things I dread most about upgrading wordpress (and actually the thing I least like about wordpress over all) is the actual deleting and uploading of the upgraded files. However, with the new MacFusion (which uses MacFuse from Google) it is super easy to mount an FTP site through an SSH connection. Now […]
Got it all upgraded…it was touch and go to say the least there for a little while…the site has had some issues outside of WordPress… Anyway, it finished and it is working except for a little glitch on the domain side that changes the URL from dailymirror.us to www.lifebloodproject.com/wordpress. Ahh well….
I just finished upgrading to the newest WordPress (2.3). Here are a couple of sites to make upgrading a little easier (not to mention safer!)… Backups:_Upstart Blogger Upgrading:WordPress Upgrade WordPress Upgrade Extended
The Daily Download: OneClick your way to a shapelier blog I found this as I was perusing the net looking for a new piece of blog software. the Scribefire plugin wasn’t working for hte longest time…login issues that apparently other people were having as well. Then all of a sudden it started working again…ahh well. […]
I actually heard about this story when driving to church this morning on NPR; then I found this article. To be totally honest, I am not sure that I would want to be quite that old. I mean, I am kinda hoping that God takes us both before our 80th Wedding Anniversary (I would be […]
I had the chance to hear Lee Strobel (“The Case for Christ”) and he said something that really started me thinking…actually he said alot of stuff that I was thinking about but one thing in particular was the question “Would you be convicted of being a Christian?” If you don’t know anything about Lee, he […]
So I had a pretty good start on a blog entry (which is good considering it has been a month since i wrote anything) and then this new mac that I got from work decided to delete it. Don’t ask me how but it did so whatever…. It was kinda surprising to see that it […]
I am trying out yet another blogging program…this one is called Journal and it was recommended in the August 2007 edition of MacWorld. UPDATE: I ran a few test on it such as posting with images, re-editing a post, etc. and I wasn’t impressed. It didn’t post the image and instead of posting a re-edit, […]
Footprints in the Sand There was a man who, at low tideWould walk with the Lord by his sideJesus said “Now look back; You’ll see one set of tracks. That’s when you got a piggy-back ride.” I found this on Famous Poems Rewritten as Limericks. I like it. That’s about it.
CustomReceipts » Fake ATM Receipts – One Month Supply Random, funny site I came across when I was working on another project. It might not be blog-worthy but it is del.icio.us worthy and I am not sure if I ever blogged about del.icio.us before. It is a great site for keeping track of your links. […]
Came across this on YouTube this morning while I was working on some digitizing stuff at work. This is great. I mean, can you imagine the mullet factor at an event like this?? Drew and I would be in Mullet Spotting Heaven!!!
To be totally honest, I was not really looking forward to the rest of this week. We are suppose to be doig a shoot outdoors all day tomorrow and to say that the timing was a bit poor (with everything else going on) is an understantment. But I had resinged myself to the fact that […]
