The kingfish at Big Fish Films called me and asked me to spec out a system for him. They are wanting to upgrade from the Dual Mac Tower that I speced for him a little over three years ago. So I thought I would post what I find here for anyone to use as reference…
The First (and initially most difficult) choice is the Processor Speed: 2.8, 3.0, or 3.2 mhz

Becky send this to me just a few minutes ago…Adobe Photoshop has released Express which if FREE!! YAY!!
Yeah, I am sitting here trying to work on really important things, but I can’t keep from watching The Hills premier…I am so addicted. I thought I was done after last year but… Kinda feel like I should turn in my Man Card!
Prestonwood just put up a webcam that “watches” the progress of the new Sondra Saunders Children’s Building. Who knows, you might just see me walking in from the parking lot…I will be that tall red-headed spec in the background…
I have started going through old files and projects from Big Fish and other jobs…finally! I am also putting up episodes of WD and projects that I am currently working on…so check back often in the “Projects” category on the right, under “Pages” ~~~~>
Everytime I run a casting session, I am reminded how much I admire the actors who pound the pavement daily going to audition after audition looking for that one director or client who will give them their big break. Now in general this takes kahones but even more so for kids…there was one particular kid who came up to audition last wednesday for a part we have in WD. His name is John and at first you might not think of him as the acting type: John has a cleft pallette and resulting lisp. (I have been fortunate enough to have John in a bible study that I co-lead and as a regular attender on Sunday)
John first impressed me when he came up to me and asked if he could auditon for the Saturday evening praise team…and after some basic coaching, he is becoming an awesome addition to the worship service. And not only that but he by far one of the most dependable members we have! Then last week he came to audition for Wright’s Direction and again I was reminded how much I admire him, not because of his overcoming a cleft palette, but because his heart for the Lord is so clearly seen and his effort to please the Father.
Ok, this is a little morbid to start off but stick with it because I gurantee you that you have wondered some of these thigns when you look deeply into your dogs eyes and are trying to figure out just what it is that he is thinking….
I am the dog you put to sleep,
as you like to call the needle of oblivion,
come back to tell you this simple thing:
I never liked you–not one bit.
When I licked your face,
I thought of biting off your nose.
When I watched you toweling yourself dry,
I wanted to leap and unman you with a snap.
I resented the way you moved,
your lack of animal grace,
the way you would sit in a chair and eat,
a napkin on your lap, knife in your hand.
I would have run away,
but I was too weak, a trick you taught me
while I was learning to sit and heel,
and–greatest of insults–shake hands without a hand.
I admit the sight of the leash
would excite me
but only because it meant I was about
to smell things you had never touched.
You do not want to believe this,
but I have no reason to lie.
I hated the car, the rubber toys,
disliked your friends and, worse, your relatives.
The jingling of my tags drove me mad.
You always scratched me in the wrong place.
All I ever wanted from you
was food and fresh water in my metal bowls.
While you slept, I watched you breathe
as the moon rose in the sky.
It took all my strength
not to raise my head and howl.
Now I am free of the collar,
the yellow raincoat, monogrammed sweater,
the absurdity of your lawn,
and that is all you need to know about this place
except what you already supposed
and are glad it did not happen sooner–
that everyone here can read and write,
the dogs in poetry, the cats and the others in prose.

The Revenant by Billy Collins
Officer Lozada’s Funeral was at Prestonwood on Friday and was absolutley amazing…The turn out was unbelievable… In case you don’t know how Officer Lozado died, he was involced in a motorcyle accident while escorting Senator Clinton’s motorcade from Dallas to Fort Worth. Here are some pictures.
