Today it happened. It is amazing how rare it comes and how quickly it goes, but today my boss said I did a good job. And not just mentioned it or was coy about it but really actually said “You did a good job Brandon”.
Here is why it means so much: I do a good job everyday. But I know that when Robert says something like that, it means I did an incredible job by anyone elses standards. My friends and family will tell you that I work my rear end off for Robert. And it is those comments from him that come about every 3-4 months that really make it all worth while. I can’t even imagine what it will be like to hear it from my Lord and Savior…

Found this picture from last year when we went to the North Texas Irish Festival and I just had to brag on my beautiful wife-to-be!!! I am by far the luckiest guy on earth!! It is amazing what a simple smile can do to my heart…

The purpose of a creed is to act as a yardstick of correct belief. A creed is an epitome, not a full definition, of what is required for orthodoxy. It was hoped that by memorizing this summary of the faith, lay people without extensive theological training would still be able to recognize deviations from orthodox doctrines based on the Bible as interpreted in Christian Tradition.

I am working on an entry about what I beleive and came across this site which lists all three of the major creeds. I realized that even thought I am a beleiver, I have never really written down literally what I beleive. I mean, I have even memorized the Nicene Creed but now I want to re-write it with exactly what I beleive. I am hoping to finish it soon….

Well, I have upgraded to Wordpress 2.2, and what a pain in the butt! For the most part, everything upgraded pretty seamlessly…but there is just this one line of code that I can’t seem to fix…so I just manually rigged it. Which line of code? Well, if you can’t tell a difference, than why tell?? =)

It has been kinda weird to see how many memories have been coming up the last couple of weeks. My parents are getting ready to move out of the house that I grew up in so I am just got a carload of boxes that have things from all throughout my high school and college years…I will admit to being a bit of a packrat, much to my dad’s chagrin!
Then there are the old and true friends who have been calling me to congratulate me on getting married; they have heard it through the grapevine and had to call to make sure that it was really me that finally roped down a woman (or vice versa:)
It has just reminded me of what an incredible amount of amazing people God has allowed me to bond with over the last 20something years. I am truly thankful for each and everyone of you.

We sent out the invitations a couple of days ago but there were some stragglers that I am chasing down addresses, etc. I am hoping to get them all in the mail by the end of the weekend. We will see….

God has been so amazing! (rather, He continues to be amazing but I am seeing it more clearly recently) He has blessed us with an incredible home that has a big back yard for Harley and a seperate little room for a study which is above and beyond what we were hoping for…I will post some pictures once we get inside of it….go check out Beck’s blog for a funny description….
