This is a forward that I received and I thought I would pass it on….
WET PANTS
Come with me to a third grade classroom…..
There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It’s never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they’ll never speak to him again as long as he lives.
The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, “Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I’m dead meat.”
He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.
As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy’s lap.
The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, “Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!”
Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie. She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You’ve done enough, you klutz!”
Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”
Susie whispers back, “I wet my pants once too.”
May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good.
Remember…..Just going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car .
I only hope that in the coming years there will be many people with fish bowls around me!!

Ok, I am not married…yet. Just wanted to get that straight off the bat before someone keels over with a heart attack. However, it was during a conversation with a certain young lady that she compared marriage to our relationship with Christ. Now, I have heard that the relationship Jesus has with the Church is modeled after a husband and wife (or rather vice versa). But I had never really followed that out practically. I mean, if you look at it that way, I am a really rebellious spouse; such as hasn’t been seen since Hosea. I can’t even imagine marrying someone who treats their spouse the way I have treated Christ at times. I am so thankful that He has unconditional love for me and unconditional forgiveness.

I would be willing to be that the most asked question today is
“Do you remember where you were when IT happened?” I was just coming off of a shift working in the Computer Lab at the college library. I remember seeing the report on the first attack from the TV in the library. The roommate of my girlfriend at the time was from Brooklyn and I remember the first thing we did was go looking for her; She tried for two days to try and reach her parents but the phone lines were so jammed that she had no luck…eventually, she got through and they were ok but her extended family had several members die (if I remember correctly)…we spent the entire day glued to this little 15 inch tv that had rabbit years,
watching all the reports.
It is weird to think back on it….almost like it was a completely different life. I would never want this to fade from my memory or the feeling I had…that was the first time that I really, seriously considered the argument “Why do bad thing happen to good people? or …innocent people?” I didn’t come to an answer until less than a year ago when I was at a men’s bible study that was guest taught by Denny Burk (His blog is linked on the front page…) It was there that I realized taht the whole premise of the question is wrong…there are no “good” people! ” All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God” (Rom. 3:23) When I am reminded of something like 9-11, I am able to see just a glimpse of what I really deserve as a sinner…I see just a little piece of hell. It makes me even more thankful for God’s saving grace…

Ok, so maybe rooting for two SEC college football teams may be getting to me but when I am a die hard gator fan and Drew, Staci & Becky went to Auburn, there are going to be some overlaps…(especially oct. 14th) But I found some really cool widgets to help keep track of the games, scores, and where you can catch the away games…see the links below:
True-Green Gators
War Damn Eagle!

As I was sending that last post, Fox news was doing an interview with Ron Spring & Tony somebody (it is 7am…givmme a break!
to create awareness for donors and more specifically kidney donation for diabetes patients. And then Ron says the following, “We want to raise awareness about organ donation and more importantly the donation that Christ gave of his whole body.” Maybe there is light at the end of the news tunnel….

Uuugghhhh….I just woke up, rolled over, and flipped on the TV to help get my brain moving…this ended up be a totally waste of time because instead of important, education, relevant news, all the stations are giving this lead headling: PARIS HILTON ARRESTED! What is wrong with us and our obsession with what celebrities are doing…I dont care at 7 am in the morning and I am pretty sure that I am not going to care any more in 8 hours than I do now. I guess I am the only one that doesn’t give a flying flip about paris hilton being arrested….

Yea, I have a MySpace page. Yes, I keep it somewhat updated. But if you go there from this site, there should be a word of caution. I know that some of you are my bible study kids and I think MySpace can be a great tool but there is deffinely some whacked out stuff on there. Just use the noggin’ God gave you and don’t be stupid…
Having said that, here is my page.

God has given me the awesome oppertunity to lead a bible study of the coolest High-schoolish students in Dallas (What, what!!)…and when I said “highschoolish” I meant high school and early college. Anyway, here are the notes from tonight for those of you that missed them. (you gotta click onteh entry to make the link to the pdf work…)

On a side note to the rest of you, when was the last time you wrote/updated your testimony. Not that you need to have a page of memorized text (in fact, that is really not the point of writing out your testimony), but it is great to have something that reminds me of where God has taken me and is an arrow pointing to where He is taking me….
