Yeti Sports Galore

I just realized that one of my favorite places to waste time during the day isn’t on my blog! This place has it all! My favorite is probably the Pingu Throw…

Just Before Shooting a sweetsixteen

Just before I was to be shooting a sweet sixteen. As My grandfather would say, “It is amazing what a little spit and polish will do…” That actually sounds really gross….=)

A Must Read: Where the Battle is Won or Lost

I read this in My Utmost for His Highest this morning and it really spoke to me. It seems like so often I am fighting so many different battles and Satan’s seeds of doubt at whether I can truly win begin to creep in…then I read something like this and the refreshment is amazing.

’If you will return, O Israel,’ says the Lord . . .’
—Jeremiah 4:1

Our battles are first won or lost in the secret places of our will in God’s presence, never in full view of the world. The Spirit of God seizes me and I am compelled to get alone with God and fight the battle before Him. Until I do this, I will lose every time. The battle may take one minute or one year, but that will depend on me, not God. However long it takes, I must wrestle with it alone before God, and I must resolve to go through the hell of renunciation or rejection before Him. Nothing has any power over someone who has fought the battle before God and won there.I should never say, “I will wait until I get into difficult circumstances and then I’ll put God to the test.” Trying to do that will not work. I must first get the issue settled between God and myself in the secret places of my soul, where no one else can interfere. Then I can go ahead, knowing with certainty that the battle is won. Lose it there, and calamity, disaster, and defeat before the world are as sure as the laws of God. The reason the battle is lost is that I fight it first in the external world. Get alone with God, do battle before Him, and settle the matter once and for all.

In dealing with other people, our stance should always be to drive them toward making a decision of their will. That is how surrendering to God begins. Not often, but every once in a while, God brings us to a major turning point— a great crossroads in our life. From that point we either go toward a more and more slow, lazy, and useless Christian life, or we become more and more on fire, giving our utmost for His highest— our best for His glory.

Working hard or hardly working

My grandfather told me, “If you get a job doing something you love, you will never work a day in your life.” And, as my expereince goes, that’s true…the only problem is that if you get a job doing somehting you love, it is hard to say no to it…for example…what the heck am I doing at the office on a Saturday! much less Chrismas Eve!!! Oh well…

My new filter favorite

I was working with some different filters on a new photoset and really liked this one….
this is the original image…

Robert and Amy (my Intern)

Similar to the one below, this was one photo shot as a test for a party that Robert was throwing over the weekend. Amy has been working for us about a month.

Better Side

I am working on a sunday it is true…but it isn’t really work if it is a party =) Tonight I am helping out Robert with a party that he is having at the studio. They are taking a group picture and need an extra hand to push the button. My job is diverse. ;) Anyway, this was one of the test photos I was working with. I took it on a delay (not sure why Robert didn’t think about doing that:)

It is freezin outside!

So we were suppose to get 2 inches of snow but it woudn’t have matter if we did get that much cause none of it would stick. But it made driving more fun!

A little collection in the parking lot.
