starbucks…

Well, the price is going up on Starbucks tomorrow…Actually that doesn’t affect me to much simply b/c my Starbucks beverages are few and far between; not b/c I don’t enjoy a good Chai Tea Latte, rather I don’t take the time often enough to go and truly enjoy it. That is what I am trying to change this evening. This is my second Starbucks visit in the last three days, due in no small part to two good friends from church. There are so many thing in my life right now that are so good for me that I simply don’t take advantage of…For example, being single, living alone, having a car, fellowshiping and building relationships, etc…… So I am trying to be more deliberate in taking advantage of those opportunities.

Something else I have been doing lately is looking up people from college and high school and finding out what they have been up to…It has actually been a lot of fun! It is kinda like mailing a letter to yourself and getting it back in the mail after a couple of years; not only are you reminded of things about yourself in the past and see how you have changed, but in the case of old friends, it is like opening a gift on christmas but instead of it being something new, it is something you know well and yet still isn’t the same as you remember. (ps if any of you understood that, Kudos cause I barely got it =) just some thought that were on the surface I thought i would share….

updating…

i have been working on the site quite a bit lately but have just forgotten to post…I am trying to upgrade to the newest version of MT and figure out a way to get more images on here in a streamlined manner…So bear with me =)

Desception

Revelation 6:1-8
The Seals
1I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
3When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
5When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”
7When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

*If there is a spiritual void in your life, a seemingly unseen barrier that just won’t let you get back to an intimate relationship with Christ, it will trace back to an area of sin that you are deceiving yourself in. There are three main steps in this deception: 1. Denial - thinking that you really don’t have a problem in an area; 2. Deception - rationalizing the sin so that it doesn’t seem like sin; and finally 3. Death - not necessarily literally but your relationship with Christ becomes non-existent.

a little off?

It occurred to me hat anyone looking at this site for the first time might think I am psycho…And while I can’t be completely certain =)…I don’t think that is the case…At least not in a negative way…I want to be different; I want to devote my life to something high and greater than myself; I want to make a difference, regardless of whether or not I anyone finds out about it; these are the things that I am passionate for and these are the things that take the highest priority. Christ is what fills all of these desires and that is why he is number one. I still love my friends, love a good story, “and a salty cup of joe”. So feel free to email me and get to know me!!
